I think you will find that Ben Nevis (1344 metres) is just a wee bit higher than Barr Beacon (227 metres).
HAHAHHAHAHHHA.....pi$$ off.
if it was you'll have haggis coming from Birmingham as well scotland as they only live above 800mts.
Technically, squizza's question was right... Barr Beacon is higher than Ben Nevis. It is not taller.
No idea why sft posted that and no idea what indie means.
IndieSinger - "Higher" is exactly the same thing as "taller". So what do you mean?
No it's not! If I stand next to my dad, he is taller than me. If I stand on a table, I am not taller than him, I am higher than him.
So which table is Barr Beacon standing on then?
Now now, Gef, let's not get facetious! According to sddsddean, Barr Beacon (what is it, by the way?) is 17.5km higher than Ben Nevis, even though Ben Nevis is taller because of the curvature of the Earth.
If you read my first answer you will see that Barr Beacon is 227 metres high. It is a small hill in the Birmingham area. To claim that it is 17.5 km higher than Ben Nevis makes me laugh. It would be the highest mountain in the world - and most of it would be in outer space!
