I would say it to rhyme with Sir.
I'd just say Fler. But you can always ask - 'Fler, is that how you say it?' Given that it's spelt unusually, she's unlikely to be surprised or offended.
I'd say, 'Flue' (as in chimney) with an 'R' on the end!

But as jno has said, I'm sure she'll not be offended if you get it wrong. Why not just casually ask her next time, just say you weren't sure but how do you actually pronounce it?
We had a girl at school called Fleure - pronounced like Fur with a l... Flur!

Although I guess regional dialect would have an impact on that.

just think of ...The Fleur-de-Lys, you can't go far wrong with that.
NeverendingR, think Cilla Black in her Liverpudlian accent trying to say flair...
My money's on flurr - rhyming, as hugnie says, with sir.
OT I know, but If you watch CSI Miami, there is a blonde woman in that who only ever says Fleur. In every scene she just goes "Fleur, leur, leur, leur, leur" in a high-pitched voice. I suspect that in her acting classes she got confused between "articulate" and "ululate".
She will probably have been named after one of the main Characters in the book the Forsyte Saga, Fleur, pronounced a soft Fler, was the daughter of Irenee and Joly Forsite. (Think I got that right). It was the biggest thing on TV in the early 1970s by the way. Susan Hampshire played Fleur and Neree Dawn Porter played her mother. Excellent stuff.
Just say to her,You alright me old fleur (flower)(:-)
lol @ Vinny, good idea, she may not have heard that before.......lol
Without any doubt at all, the safest option is to ask her. The pronunciation of one`s name is personal. Some people DO insist on adding the final `e` if there is one, I do not see any reason why a person would object to asked for THEIR pronunciation - in fact the opposite. I make a point of getting correct pronunciation as I think it only polite. Very many shops locally have foreign staff and I only ever get appreciation when I ask if I am saying it right. If your name is Colin, there would appear to be no problem, but I was bemused - along with others sharing the name - when Mr. Powell in U.S. decided it was Coh-lin!!.
im pretty sure you pronounce it like "Flure" I have read about a person called fleure, im sure they won't mind you asking, besides, youre only human
lol rojash... I read somewhere Powell was Collin, the same as everybody else, but his boss, Mr Bush Jr, mispronounced it and nobody dared set him straight. Good anecdote but I don't know if it's true.
I used to know someone called Fleur, and you said it flur.
Ask her how to pronounce it, she will like it.
