I'll start - for me it has to be Dollis Hill (NW London) right hole of a place. Went throught it a few times, never again.

Sunderland -a right sh!t hole
newcastle, FTM dma other than that its got to be rainham in essex the best part of rainham is the cleanaway dump

wythenshawe, manchester

biggest council estate in europe and biggest **** hole ever if you fall in you cant get out!!

i went to a council estate in leeds once, my god it was rough!!
Slough (short for Slough of Despondency) - a huge industrial estate with houses added as an afterthought.

Dollis Hill (never been there myself) may very well be a "right hole", but I can forgive it. The Second World War may well have lasted another two years and cost goodness knows how many more lives if it hadn't been for work carried out at Dollis Hill, namely the construction of the Colossus computer in 1943, which the following year played such a vital role in the work of the codebreakers of Bletchley Park. Much of the success of D-Day is owed to Dollis Hill, for starters!

Sorry for going off at a tangent - just thought I'd give the old dump at least one bit of credit :-)
Stoke-on Trent, what a dump, 50 or more years under a Labour council, during the 18 years of Tory rule we were told as soon as Labour got back in power things would change, well they were right, but not for the better, most off the potbanks have now shut down, thousands off jobs lost, and what have they done to replace these, a load of huge tin sheds called warehouses, our local Labour councillor bought a villa in Spain last year and as gone to live there, say's it all !!
jrtv, I like living in Stoke on Trent thanks very much!

At one stage in the last century an MP seriously suggested the possibility of abandoning Stoke altogether and starting elsewhere, well I'm not saying that because things have improved, but recently it was voted the worst place to live in England and Wales.

Bilston,West Midlands. The Luftwaffe bombed it and nobody noticed,a dreadful place.
You won't beat Llanelli - crap pubs, watery Felinfoel beer, unfriendly parochial natives. If you don't live there they'll want to fight with you. Worst place I have ever been to (and I Welsh and well travelled). To be avoided at all costs!!

nice one mighty...

wolverhampton full of the worlds worst.

friar park, wednesbury. its worse than wolves, but only the locals know where it is !!!

Burnley Lancs I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Like anywhere else Burnley has some nice parts but if you are unlucky enough to ever be there take a look at the Abel street area.
Weybridge, Surrey. Pretentious and Snobby. Smalltown snobs at it's height.
Actually littleoldme, Slough is only one of the top 5 dumpiest places in England, the other 4 being:
Slough,
Slough,
Slough,
and Milton Keynes
Worksop. One of the strangest places I ever did a student placement at.
