A group of us were reminiscing and someone mentioned the Toc H, and although we had all heard of the association, none of us knew much about it. Obviously, we have read about it since, but I was wondering if anyone had visited, and benefited from visiting one of their houses during the wars. I would be grateful if you would tell us about your experience. Many thanks.

There used to be a Toc H hostel in Gibraltar, not far from the dock area. Used to be run by an old Scottish gentleman known as 'Jock' ! I stayed in it for several nights in 1962 when I was bumming around Europe. Still have some photos. Very basic, just bunk beds and very free and easy except Jock forbad drink on the premises.
