including three former justices of the supreme have signed a 17 page letter calling upon the UK government to stop supplying arms to israel because there is a plausible risk that of genocide being carried out by israel in gaza

the letter is very thorough and well referenced and cites the UK's obligations under international law

what's more important - a rules-based international order or support for israel?

Perhaps they could sign one asking Muslims to stop killing us too.

Question Author

well "muslims" aren't a country or a coherent group that is supplied by the uk government so that might be a bit of a toughie

do we have a list of the signers?

and lots that aren't tora. what a bigoted thing to say.

i would expect a towering intellect of the right such as yourself to at least know who lord sumption is but it seems you do not.

Hamas started it they can end it. We don't need the hand wringing EW siding with terrorists. We need to bring the murderous scum to their knees and make sure they can't do it again. We should be sending Israel all the arms they want, to clear out the vermin. Israel is cleaning up this mess for us all.

Question Author

could you please point out the section of the letter that sides with terrorists? a quote and page number would be useful as i am not sure which part you are referring to

Have a day off me old china, they don't say it directly! The mere existence of the letter screams "stop erradicating our mates".

Question Author

have you read it?

TORATORATORA, "Have a day off me old china, they don't say it directly!" so you make it up.

so now the thread makes no sense, great modding!

untitled: "i would expect a towering intellect of the right such as yourself to at least know who lord sumption is but it seems you do not." - I know who he is, like most judges he's never lived in the real world. Closet hand wringing lefty who views things based on a liberal ideology. Has almost no experience of real life.

Question Author

he's not a lefty at all lol. you expose your ignorance.

You know him personally then?

Question Author

no but i have read some of his work and paid attention to his appearances on shows like Moral Maze... he simply isn't a lefty and is in fact one of the few serious ideological conservatives that this country has. you've obviously just googled him and leaped to conclusions lol.

Question Author

you would learn a lot from him tora if you were even the slightest bit intellectually curious

Alan Duncan has called for Conservative Friends of Israel to be removed from the house of lords on the grounds that they are exercising the interests of another country... he asks how israel can be considered an ally

https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/alan-duncan-lord-pollack-lord-pickles-tom-tugendhat-repercussions-israel/

i suppose this man is a raving lefty as well is he? you're going to say he's pro-terrorist too?

untitled: "Alan Duncan has called for Conservative Friends of Israel to be removed from the house of lords on the grounds that they are exercising the interests of another country... he asks how israel can be considered an ally " - well given that most of them spend their lives as the EW supporting the EUSSR I'd say they should keep schtumm about that. I wouldn't say Israel was an ally but they are the closest thing to one in that region. We are not exercising the interests another country, we are serving a customer. If that helps them in their fight against terrorists then that's a bonus. Remember if Hamas stay in and smoke their bubble pipes on Oct 7th all this goes away. They started it and they can end it anytime they like.

UK arms manufacturers and the Jewish lobby will not allow the Government to change policy.

A lot of UK jobs rely on on the arms trade, so the Government won't risk those votes in an election year.

The Jewish Chronicle will tell all its readers to put pressure on their MPs, and the Commons would vote against any change of policy.
