My car is utilised for domestic and going to and from work. On the policy it says permanent place of work. If I go on a course to a different area will I be covered?

best thing is to ask your insurance company....any answer given on here won't be binding on the company.
I agree with woof...different companies, different interpretation of terms and conditions.

You need to ask your insurance company what there definition of commuting is, not everyone's is the same
I have added business insurance on my policy just for these occasional circumstances as yes it would be required. It was at no extra cost on my policy.
Don't know if I'm allowed to say which company(?) but mine didn't cost anything extra for business use
It cost me another £20 a year. I thought it was worth it as I could see that it was possible they could otherwise turn down a claim as I travel to different places each day and sometimes work at two places in a day
