Are you sure you mean Ayr?

There was a Duke Street in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, which was demolished in the seventies, (along with the heart of the town) to make way for pedestrian precincts and one way systems in the 1970's. Duke Street ran from the Cross at the town centre to the Palace Theatre. There is now the Burns Mall where Duke Street used to be.

As far as I know Ayr does not have a Duke Street. Ayr never suffered the major demolitions that Kilmarnock did in the 70's.

Hope this is helpful.

Yes, my mum was brought up on that street until it got demolished. It was in the Viewfield road area of the town.
