Hornby and Triang model railways

Hi All,
I have been trying to sell a small layout for a neighbour who has had to go into a care home, I've googled and checked local press but can't seem to find too many people who can answer emails or return phone calls (thats sarcasm by the way :-))
Does anyone have any ideas

If it helps, I'm based in Maidstone, Kent

Excellent Rating
Try phoning Peco Publications who do Railway Modeller. There is an advert form in each issue, but to save you hving to buy a copy, hopefully they will take an ad over the phone. Rates are 15p/word for a private ad, with a £3.50 +Vat minimum. Tel no is 01297 20580 (I think there should be another digit, but thats what it says!!) or e mail the at railway-modeller@btconnect.com

Hello there.
Hornby(Triang) is based at at a factory on the edge of Margate(not that far from you).
This:~
http://www.hornby.com/contact-us/
Is their contact page(by phone OR email).
Whilst I don't think they can give you resale values, they are a very helpful company, and may be able to direct you to the right persons.
If you have a local Auction House, they too may be able to give you(free) valuations, and of course sell the items for you.

I should think the older the set is, the more valuable it’s likely to be. Try searching for similar items on Ebay, which will give you a good idea of the value. Then take as many good digital photos as you can, and list it for sale, setting the starting price at the lowest figure you’d be prepared to accept. You’d have a lot more potential buyers that way compared to the local papers. Make it available to overseas buyers too, especially the USA.

You could try Vectis toy auctions. They have regular train sales.
