Coggles, I have also read a lot of true crime. I suppose that is what got me going on fiction in the first place. I have to be honest though and say that truth is always stranger than fiction, but I really do recommend Kathy Reichs and Patricia Cornwell. They are American writers so the stories are all set in the USA and Canada, but if you like knowing bits about forensics and autopsy procedures, then these books are great as both authors are actually trained pathologists. Yes, these books are fictional, but they contain lots of descriptions that are based on fact. Gripping yarns....honest!
