Home made meat loaf, from my American friends recipe. 50/50 beef and pork. I put some finely chopped red pepper in mine as well as some chopped onion. Add some roast potatoes and its wonderful !

I think the peas may have been 'steeped' as in soaked ?

Mike they were dried... you have to soak them, much nicer than the canned stuff.

Well that all sounds lovely
I made the cauliflower cheese from scratch using a carton of elm lea and some grated low fat cheddar
I have been looking at recipes on the guardian website from that Israeli chef
I feel I might give one of them a go next week
