Computer "Freezing"

Anyone had a similar problem to mine namely my computer "freezes" on a regular basis ?

There could be a number of reasons - maybe the memory isnt sufficient, or possibly programmes making it hang.I would suggest giving it a scandisc/defragmentation maybe clean up temporary files etc.and see how it goes from there.

Thanks for the response "alunrw" . I had already done as you suggested scandisc/defragmentation etc. and cleared temp. files etc. I do all this on a regular basis and still can`t cure the problem. Ver frustrating !

mine used to do this when overheating, due to a dodgy cooler fan.

Youve not really given enough info, stradbroke to answer you q. Could be loads of things. ie, does it happen at a certain time, when you do a certain thing...? BTW, have you scanned for virus or spyware?
