I want to take my boyfriend for a nice posh romantic meal on saturday. I have only recently moved to the area and have not eaten out around here yet. Can anyone give me good places to eat? dont mind travelling short distances in taxi.
Thanks xx

well i've lived here 20 years and there aren't many, try the Coppull Moor, it's about #50 per head, the Hartwood Hall is ok too, up neaqr the hospital.
The White Crow on Wigan lane is ok, and so is the Thyme and The Place just before it.
what part of chorley are you?
i've heard fantastic things about coppull moor, but haven't been yet myself...we're in southport and we like a nice bottle of vino with dinner! a friend of mine has very expensive taste and loved it here.

haha! how funny you said the same dot :)

just found this too that suggests Coppull Moor is now called Amelie's and is under new ownership, so not sure if that means its any different than before:

my friend dows the cooking there, she took me there for a meal once and it was amazing, but it is very expensive and probably already booked up, they only have about 10 guests max a serviice
I am at my daughters at the moment and it's about 500 yards from here lol
oo i might have to book there soon, we've said for ages we should go, we'd just have to be disciplined with the tinto - or try to stay over at his sister's down the road!

oo i'm hungry now... P
I live in Chorley. Red Cat at Wheelton is excellent bit pricey but you certainly get quality. If you like Indian you can't go wrong with The Blue Elephant on the way out through Euxton. And as others have said Copull Moor but have not been since it changed ownership but have heard good reports.
