I had to go out today - I don't get out much. I saw three 'hoodies' loitering in a 'look at us and we menacing' sort of way.
Of course I asked them to cross me over the road, which they kindly did and all three of them had a handbag slung from the shoulder.
Smaller than the despatch bags I've seen before.

Is this the current trend? I can see the sense of it.

Positive. They had those fabby sharp sideburns like daggers down their cheeks.

Well one did. The other had a sort of goatee and the other had acne

Good for you, Ethel. I`m sure you reinforced their faith in human nature. Your good deed for the day.

Now now, Normthedo, that is totally wrong.

I'm here 23.5 hours a day. I do have to go to the loo now and again
Can't say I like to see men with shoulder bags though, Ethel. Men shouldn't need them anyway unless, like women they like to carry everything but the kitchen sink around with them. Most blokes I know carry a wallet, keys and perhaps a comb!!
I think they use those small shoulder bags to carry chipped sim-cards and freeview codes, and the such like,

Probably making a fortune right under your very nose.

TAAAA DAAAAAA Ta DAAAAA DAAA DDA

miss sharples to the rescue of virgin media. :-)
Wallet, house keys, cvar keys, phone, coins, doofah for opening the gates at the end of the drive, peppermints, comb, tissues, etc.....etc....etc.....

Most men I have known don't need handbags.

They shove everything in to their wives bags
Lipstick, mascara, mirror, too perhaps.........................:o)
"They shove everything in to their wives bags"

If I did that I would never be able to find what I wanted.

Ho ho ho!
I seem to be able to survive with lipstick and mascara. As to a mirror, I never use one. It's too depressing.
Question Author
I'm sure that fuchsia lipstick looks fabby, Rollo, but the mascara looks a bit clumpy
Actually, I never carry a handbag when I go out in the evening!! I just give a comb to Mr LL to put in his pocket!!
My male hairdresser carries a handbag, has botox (at 23) wears make up and waxes his chest.
I wonder how many men on AB carry handbags - and if they did would admit it. Perhaps the question should be posed?
