Golf waterproofs

Hi. Recently played Bull Bay in wales where it preceded to rain constantley with lots of wind,!!!!!. I have Ping waterproofs they did not keep me dry, could anyone tell me which are the best? ie calvin green goretex, or is there better ones out there, could anyone help me it would be great. golf waterproofs are only designed to withstand a shower, constant rain will contantly seep through

sunderland make a good waterproof but they are rather expensive
