Has anyone tried to cook any of Heston Blumenthal's dishes at home? His food looks great, but how many people have a blow torch in their kitchen?

Not sure if the guy is mad or a genius. I wouldn't have the patience or the money to attempt any of his recipes. BUT I do have a blow torch. It's very good for creme brulee or anything else that needs caramalising.

God, how inadequate do I feel. I definitely don't have a blow torch.

Bet no one has a squirrel cage though, for smoking fish.

I have a torch light in my kitchen. It's not a blow torch but it does have 'torch' in it. :-)
