Returning goods

If you are returning goods do you have to return them at the branch you bought them from ?( ie argos) what about smaller independant stores with branches?

Ive bought from stores with other branches while out shopping , and taken it back to exchange or for a refund at my local branch without any hassle

It is always best to check before buying. I too have returned goods to different stores of Argos. And Monsoon.
