Suede dye

Hi, Has anyone ever had their suede jacket professionaly dyed? If so, was it successful? I have a gorgeous champagne suede jacket (cost an absolute fortune) which I love dearly, but it looks a little worse for wear at the cuffs and a few rain marks too - someone suggested I get it dyed a darker shade but I'm reluctant to do it in case it ruins its texture...
Any ideas?
