American Airlines
4 Answers
We are going to to Memphis in September, flying with American Airlines to Chicago then American Eagle to Memphis. I have read some reviews for this airline and they all complain about bad service from flight attendants, the planes are dirty, lost luggage and if you have any problems no help from their customer service staff, as I have never flown with them I dont know if its just that people only seem to post bad reviews on these sites,no one seems to bother to post good reviews, but I am getting a bit worried not having read at least one good review. Has anyone used American recently and if so please tell me your opinion (good or bad!) T I A

You really should read reviews BEFORE booking.
And yes - there will always be bad reviews no matter what airline you choose. By and large people don't post reviews for good flights - still less for (as the vast majority will be) satisfactory ones.

I flew American Airlines and American Eagle three years ago when I went to Louisville, Kentucky. I had absolutely no problems with them at all. I certainly didn't have bad service from flight attendants, the planes were clean and they didn't lose my luggage! In fact they were very helpful at Chicago as you have to collect your case to go through customs, but immedately after customs there was an American Airlines place to take your luggage if you were flying on with them (or American Eagle). My luggage was there in Kentucky the same times I was. Coming back I just checked in my suitcase at Louisville and that arrived back in Manchester with me, and in fact I was checked in all the way so I didn't have to check in at Chicago.
