My partner has suggested a few times now that I use a face cream every night before going to bed, I understand that it is becoming a more popular thing for men to use. I am defiant that real men do not use such creams, someone back me up please!!

She has even suggested that I carry one of these shoulder bags for men, you know, like a mans handbag type thing!!

by the way I'm knocking on 50 years of age not 15.

What is the world coming to??

I use all sorts of ladies' cosmetics - why not ?

I also have a large collection of facial washes and exfoliants chosen for no other reason than that they smell nice, particularly Garnier cucumber and Olay.

In very hot weather, where are men supposed to carry wallets, keys, phones, make-up ? A shoulder bag or waist bag is very handy, and if you wear it in a butch way and don't mince you don't get stared at.
Uggghhh! Men and moisturisers. You're referring to the 'manbag', ratter. Stay as you are!!! Us women already spend a ridiculous and unnecessary amount on creams that don't do anything apart from smell nice and stop your skin feeling tight (that's why I buy them) but if you smell OK and your skin isn't tight, why bother? It's only another marketing ploy.
Aftershave, that's a different thing..Whiffey, what about using a key fob and hanging your keys from your belt loop, and stuffing your wallet in your pocket? It's worked for men so far. And remember, apparently, the age of the metrosexual is over (at least, that's what it said in the papers, so it must be true)...

Whiffey, something you said the other day on a thread made me think you were a girl...
Mr Spudqueen uses nivea for men, it's along with the mens toiletries in Boots. In Mr Spudqeens defence he doesn't use it every night, but he does find especially in summer and winter that his face gets dry and there's no need to put up with something that you can easily remedy just 'because you're a man'.
But mens' stuff is awful ! Apart from Davidoff Blue Water it's all butched up and pretends to be male pheromonal.

Ladies' stuff is much better, smells fantastic, and is alluring and subtle. Chanel No 5 is matchless.

loreal do some cracking stuff for men. i highly recommend their aftershave balms. they leave you with a lovely smooth face and stop all the irritation caused by the daily grind of shaving.
But Whiffey, many of us girlies have nicked aftershave for years. Men's Obsession is just gorgeous; also love Safari. I can't stand Chanel No 5 as I get so disappointed. it's marketed as containing loads of rose and jasmine and doesn't smell of either.
a good beauty regime morning and night is essential for men of your age ratter when your skin is not what it used to i presume, just think of the goodies you could keep in your shoulder bag !

OK, Crete, so what are you saying!! what about men of my age?? I said I was looking for support here!! and you just may presume wrong, well, apart from the odd line or two which just make me look even more sophisticated!!

whiffey!! what can I say, probably best I say nothing!! lol

Thankyou Violetblue, I love you!!!!
You stick up for yourself, Ratter! And just have a look at the recent expression on Tom Jones's face, or Michael Douglas's, and ask yourself whether a few wrinkles looks better than looking like you have a plastic bag stretched across your face.
Use of a phrase like 'real men' hints that you worry about compromising your image by using such products.

What is a 'real man' - opposite of a 'pretend man'?

Come on now RATTER15, one of the advantgaes of having reached your late forties is that you should be secure enough about who, and what you are, not to worry about such notions as what a 'real' man would do.

If you want to keep a nice complexion, then use a product that suits you, if you are not bothered, then don't, but to anguish over whether or not your behaviour leaves you outside the remit of a 'real man' suggests that you need to be more secure inyourself, and worry less about what 'other people' think.
I'm with you RATTERS Some hen pecked, vain guys will be wearing nail varnish next
I wear the glittery nail varnish, but only at weekends, I wouldn't want people to think me odd.
whiffy do you match your nail varnish with your lipstick ? off course only at the weekend
whiffey....why does it not surprise me that you use womens cosmetics.

I bet you wear bras and knickers aswell
cobra you just jealous you dont have the figure whiffy has
crete, I went to the gym to pump iron last nite....so my beer belly isnt as big as it was yesterday
I don't need a bra, but the knickers is a sensual thing. It's about the touch of silk on skin, with loads of added imagination. It takes a bit of doing to fit the tackle in though !

I wouldn't go out in them, imagine being taken to A/E with knickers on, people might get the wrong idea.

I handwash them in Lux flakes.
he everyone they do liposuction at cobras gym on a thursday night free
