My older sister is getting married again in August and we're going shopping for her outfit soon. The problem is that neither of us have a clue what she should wear. She's 52, 6ft tall, slim, blonde, and looks a bit like Ingrid Tarrant. Her style could best be described as ageing rock chick.(I hope she's not reading this!) All we've seen so far are 'mother of the bride' type outfits which are just not her. The ceremony & reception will be at a posh hotel. Can any of you recommend anything or steer us towards any decent websites please? (Nothing strapless or skimpy on top as she had a mastectomy last year). Many thanks.

Admittedly i'm not up on a lot of wedding outfits, but i do know Monsoon do some lovely outfits, including bridal...and their lengths are usually very good too.

hope this helps

Well it is not easy ... if she wants to still be 'rock chick' then something really Indian and floaty might be nice - say an Indian top in cream with some of those sequiny or things on and matching floaty skirt, something small in her hair and a nice bouquet which can reflect her personality. Teamed with a beautiful wrap .......
Go on to Google and type Ann Balon. Some of those outfits are gorgeous.

Yes I agree about Monsoon.

I am 42 and have just bought a lovely dress from there for my wedding in 6 weeks. Some of the dresses have a little jacket to go with them too.

Hope she has a great day.
