Dont know if this is the right category to post this, but I am wondering if any ABers have had any bad experiences of selling on Ebay? I have always thought that it would be too much hassle for us (hubby and me) as we only have the usual household items, excess clothes and that sort of thing. And then if the clothes you have sold dont fit the buyer, do you have to refund them their money? There must be some pitfalls, but I keep hearing about what a good idea it is to make a bit of cash on Ebay. Anyone any comments please? Thanks.

Once you start you can't stop!

Its no hassle as long as you consdier how you are going to post the itens - don't forget to add a postage fee.

Don't worry about returns, once someone has bought it its too late!

you can of course insist on the money before sending the goods

I have bought and sold lots on ebay, I have had a couple of people not pay but I dont post anything until I get the money.

Always add enough for your postage and a little bit more for your time.

Basically as long as you list the items honestly then ther is no real comeback, if you lie then expect crappy feedback.

gud luck.

be as thorough and honest as possible in the descriptions, noting even the smallest blemish or issue, that way no-one can complain.

i see a lot of feedback seemingly coming from people who haven't read the description properly - or being deliberately mislead

i bought an audio book that was apparently brand new, very rare and the full book - it arrived and it was a freebie front the front of a newspaper, grubby, and it was only 35mins long! - i left neutral feedback, because it worked ok and i enjoyed the version, but i mentioned the misleading description.

its clear though that some people don't read it thoroughly and bid immediately and are then disappointed

you only need to refund if the item is faulty or it doesn't arrive - and if you check it thoroughly beforehand you should be fine and if the item is lost in the post you refund and then claim it back from the post office or paypal.

go for it!
