I want to buy my grandchildren (girl - 6, boy - 3) some hankies, not least so they stop borrowing mine! I can't believe how difficult this proving, the best I've done so far is to find a shop that has them in at Christmas but not the rest of the year. I'd prefer hankies with characters on, but plain would do. Any ideas please ABers?

There is a shop that sells really cheap clothes QS I think it is called and they have some on the counter, dunno if you have one near you. Also just look at the handkerchiefs they have on here. If the link doesn't work just put childrens handkerchiefs into the search engine and its the first one. Have you tried Woolies or John Lewis ?http://pages.gatortradingantiques.com/102/InventoryPage/1685209/1.html

I think most people now use Kleenex instead, it is more hygienic .. think of your grandchildren's runny noses and their poor mum having to wash the crusty hankies afterwards .. yuk.
if you go on ebay and type in disney handkerchiefs there are usually lots on there and if you are lucky you get a pack of between 3 and 5 for just over 1 before P&P. Happy bidding!

</NOSCRIPT>Thanks guys. I've tried Woolies etc. - maybe it's my local stores that I've been unlucky with. Haven't heard of QS but will keep an eye open.

Kleenex seem to be rough on the kids' skin, but I take the point!

I'm off to ebay now to search there.

Thanks again - your answers are not to be sneezed at (sorry, couldn't resist it). Hmmmmmmm

Hi

Just read your post about children handkerchiefs. i have found some on ebay for boys and girls. for girls search for item number 6849195588 and for boys item number 7744204809. They are in packs of 7 for 1.00.

I agree with judiewudie, they're ever so unhygienic.

My niece gets a very sore nose with regular tissues so whenever I have her, I dry out some baby wipes- very soft and excellent for sensitive skin.

Hi There's a site called babygoesvintage.com that sells kid's handkerchiefs with nursery rhyme themes and they're reasonably priced.
Thanks for taking the trouble to post, I'll have a look at the site.
