Yes it's about opinions....I'm just saying 'none of them is a valid opinion and naimi shouldn't be discouraging reply's like that saying that's not what Abbey wants to know....in my opinion
bob, oh I see. The reason I said that is because Abbey's choices were described as a 'questionable bunch', and references to expensive shoes were made. Personally, I thought that rather pretentious and frankly, quite rude. In my opinion Abbey lacks confidence and seeks endorsement so I do my best to encourage her. I just wish others would too. That's all.
Fair enough...Good point well made
Thanks bob.
Maybe the best reaction is to not encourage endorsement seeking. It seems a little excessive. And mixed opinions don't much help solve a query especially from those you don't know and so have no idea how good their taste/judgement is.
For what it's worth, I preferred the first.
If Abbey was more decisive she wouldn't ask. I doubt me ignoring her would stop her seeking endorsement, OG.
I agree completely Naomi. For whatever reason, Abbey looks for advice and support in her decision making. In asking this question, she is asking about what she has...not what she should have or should buy. I think she just wants to make a good impression, and could do with a boost to her confidence.
I also preferthe first one. Good luck with the interview :)
To lankeela@23:44...forgot to post this from my phone...

1...I don't think I'd call the dresses abbey is enquiring about 'glamourous'...they look like nice dresses for daywear.
2...most girls and women now get gel manicures which are quite long lasting. As long as nails don't look like claws or weapons...otherwise they must be tidy.
I'd just think the person I was interviewing cared enough to look nicely dressed and presented themselves as well groomed.
First one .
I liked number 2.
Abby, cannot you ask the opinion of your Mum or a sister if you have one?
You have been to interviews for warehouse jobs before, what did you wear then and did you get any of the jobs?
//and references to expensive shoes were made. Personally, I thought that rather pretentious and frankly, quite rude.//

If that was directed at my Loboutin reference please read it again - I was advocating low heels or flats, not shoes with 'shard'-length spikes on them - the keep the Louboutins in the wardrobe was tongue in cheek as such.....Jeez. OTT the 'rude' remark was...
Abbey, what exactly would your job in a warehouse be?
Fork truck driver, stacking shelves, office work?

I think Abby cancelled her date till next week …
Thanks smurf, I was waiting for the latest update. I'm a sucker for romance
Quite frankly Abbey I don't think any of them would lose you the job, so you choose. But if you really want my opinion I would put them in order of preference 1,2, and 3. Perhaps avoid 3 to be sure.
Barry. See Abbeylee's thread "Do I give up on Dating Apps." - more info.
I'd hire a good candidate wearing any of those, I like 3 though.
