Am trying to make bits and pieces of a present for someone. One idea is that I'd like to pay for a monthly magazine subscription for a year. What do I do, I don't know what she buys.

what are her interests?
does she do crosswords puzzles, if so you could get her a years subcription for that, or does she sew/knit, do crochet, bake?

Hi emmie - do I need to know the exact magazine she likes - if so, I can maybe get that information from her daughter, I know she likes all titbitts and crosswords
What magazines do they like?
the only thing you can do is ask her
Question Author
no none of the other items ie sew bake knit etc.

just works and comes home and flops down (lives on her own)
Question Author
it's a big birthday so this time don't want to ask her
ask her daughter first.... she should be able to shed light on what
she might like.
Amazon vouchers?
If you are talking to her you could mention an article in a magazine that you have read and see how she reacts. She may say she does/doesn't buy that mag so now you have an opening to find out which one, if any, she buys. Make sure though that she hasn't already a subscription
yes there are always what tiggs suggests.
Question Author
that's a good idea tiggerblue but she doesn't know how to order - gets daughter to get her bits and pieces
Question Author
does one know how long the Amazon vouchers last
Yours, magazine is popular.
when is the birthday?
Question Author
21st queen's birthday LOL
What about creating a care package with toiletries, perfume and other bits and bobs? If you know what toiletries she uses, of course.
according to Amazon web site, they have a life span of 10 years from date of issuance.....
speak with her daughter first but amazon vouchers seems a good plan,
Not sure how it works but you can get a subscription to something called Readly where you can pay so much a month and get access to a load of magazines online if she has access to a computer.
