China seems to be 'unlocking' Wuhan already. I wonder if those delightful 'wet' markets are open again.
No. Just a sensible and necessary precaution. No sweat.
Its all very odd Nailit. Are you locked down or still working?
The truth is I am not noticing much effect on my own life to be honest. I only went out to walk or shop, I can only afford essentials and a few little treats. The only difference is not seeing friends once in a while but even that was hardly a daily occurrance. I miss my weekly weight watchers class.

Still working at the moment Maydup, not sure how long for though. Foodbank supply centres are beginning to shut down.

Find something creepy about it all.
Loads of police in my city centre and yet no one there,
Shops accepting only card payments (cashless society?)
Personal freedoms all curtailed etc.
They may start rounding up people to stick in the 'isolation' camps.
Won't be laughing at those crazy Americans then.
Our local shops are accepting cash.
Have to agree with you, even though necessary, it's all very weird. I try not to let my mind wander too far, or I'd crack up..
I've seen more police than I ever did before the lockdown.
The longer I stay home, the more weird it feels when I do go out. I found myself rehearsing what I was going to say if I was stopped by the police!! i suppose that is the idea, they make it feel so uncomfortable, we stay home.
I don’t find it sinister but definitely somewhat weird because of the quietness.
Needs must and we’re prepared to do whatever is asked of us to try and keep ourselves and others safe.
Me too, Patsy. I have to stop my mind wandering and it's not always easy.

All markets are shut as well so cannot buy fresh food/produce.
Ladybirder. I've had to have a stern word with myself! :-) Try to think positive and do the best you can. How are you now?
PP, you mean your card has been stolen?
I can still pay cash but all the assistants are wearing plastic gloves.
No. I think those of us who have never had any time for over-hyped ‘personal freedom’, those of us who think that most ‘freedom of choice’ just means being diddled by a different set of spivs and chisellers, well, we don’t mind our dubious civil liberties being eroded if the end result is the common good, or NHS (etc) workers getting their fair share for a change.

Bring it on, lockdowns and all, if it means fairness for all!
PP have you reported the theft to Police and card supplier? Get the card blocked.

//I can still pay cash but all the assistants are wearing plastic gloves//
And eventually it will be card transaction only, to prevent infections spreading through cash,,,watch this space.
Cashless society is here!
