I just ordered some thermal underwear from Amazon and it asked if I wanted to buy with Amazon Prime or not. I thought I had clicked not.

Well apparently I now am on a free Amazon Prime trial. Not sure I actually want to be but I just know I’ll forget to cancel it when the trial is up ....

ok danny...
Casa, your pc, tablet, smartphone whatever you use has an online calendar which will send you reminders. Free Prime for one month might be very useful at this time of year.
How much do you order from Amazon?

I have Prime. Amazon keep saying I need to update my details (not a scam) but we're still getting the full service.
its' not worth 8 quid a month or whatever they charge
It depends how you use it, emmie. I love it. The free trial is still worth having before Christmas
hc no i have better ways of spending 8 quid, drink anyone, lol
You can cancel it online. I love Prime and think it’s well worth the £7.99.
As Sherrard says, you can cancel it online. I got caught the same way a few weeks ago so I instantly cancelled. However, the free trial still runs so I used it a few times for free delivery and also watched a couple of films. Make the most of it but cancel it NOW; don't wait and forget.
just go into your account online.... you should be able to cancel it immediately ....same thing happened to me ....clicked like you without realising
Just set rmeinder to cancel it. Although i do find it good value, with TV music and free delivery. (And I still enjoy a drink emmie :))
Same as Sher...I use Amazon loads so it's well worth it for us.
chelle
hic .....
Complain. They know what they're doing with their deceptive page/link layouts. Complain and they can take you off.
For future reference (based upon my own recent experience of buying from Amazon):

If you accept the option to not take Prime, you'll later see a screen that informs you that you've been given a free trial anyway, as a 'gift' from Amazon. At first glance it might appear that you're stuck with it (until you phone up to cancel) but closer inspection of that page will show that there's a 'Continue without Prime' button. So you need to decline Amazon Prime TWICE in order to ensure that it's not added to you account.
Towards the bottom of the e-mail confirmation you can avoid conversion to a paid membership be clicking on the "cancellation form" within 30 days of your order but suggest you do it
