Does anyone know if Thai Red Bull is illegal to bring back to UK? My sister is in Thailand and has bought me some...I've been looking forward to it for months! She is scared to bring it home though. Her flight is tomorrow...

If it is not illegal in Thailand then technically it will be covered by Thai law until she passes customs. (Please not Misuse of Drugs Act does make issues on this!!)

If she has bought it already then get her to  bring it over but declare it to customs. All that will happen is it will be confiscated with no further action if deemed prohibited.

Its not like drugs or animals is it?

I think it's got amphetamines in it...

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Can't help you there. Maybe go to a customs/excise site.

Amphet/whizz is a class B so landing laws will apply under Misuse of Drugs Act. You could always ring Gatwick Police on 0845 60 70 999 and enquire.

cheers for your help
Is Thai Red Bull different from whats sold in the UK? Its the same company

It has very high levels of caffine and and an amphetimine called dexyphanthenol. Not sure on the legality of it in the UK but suggest it really isn't worth the risk bringing back.

It is really good stuff though!!
