I ordered a Christmas present for my wife on 11th December, from Superjeweler, and I have still not received it. I have sent messages by email to them, but they do not reply. Has anyone else had trouble with this company, if it exists?

My initial checks had me rather worried because they showed that the company's website was created via GoDaddy.com (which is unusual for a business of any size), with the domain name being registered through a proxy service (so that you can't see who actually registered it). Such procedures are commonly associated with Chinese websites which are masquerading as British or American.

However the Superjeweler website bears the logo of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and their website confirms that Superjeweler.com has been a member since 2011. So it seems to be a genuine US company.

Try a phone call to their UK number:
(020) 3290-0099
but remember that it will probably go through to the USA, where their Custermer Service lines are open from 0900 to 1900 EST (= 1400 to 2400 GMT).

Remember that Customs clearance delays can be quite lengthy around this time of year. (Assuming that the value of your purchase is below the cut-off for Import Duty, you'll still have to pay 20% VAT plus an £8 postal examination fee before you can receive your consignment).

Bloody 'ell! I thought that my spelling was better than that!

Firstly, thanks to Buenchico for the comprehensive answer.
Secondly, I have now had a reply from Superjeweler. They dispached my order on 17th of December, don't know what has happened to it, but after 30 working days, if it is still missing, they will send me another or refund my money. Maybe it can be a birthday present instead of a Christmas present.
