why not if you could get away with it?
Good gal, Daisy.
Question Author
Because it is rubbish.
Well...erm....good!
Some of it looks pretty good when it is served up, but I still wouldn't/couldn't pass it off as my own (or Queenie's)
oh i thought it was supposed to be good, they charge enough for it, i only buy their butties myself like.
Neither would I, Daisy! People would think I was into this cooking lark and expect feeding all the time.....I have the perfect and easiest way of getting a lovely meal on the table for my guests....☺
I bought a liver and bacon meal in M&S a couple of years back. It was bin fodder. I've not bought their food since.
.I have the perfect and easiest way of getting a lovely meal on the table for my guests....☺

LOL, yes they have to bring their own.
It seems a little harsh. I've enjoyed a few of their meal deals for two (and no I was not eating on my own !).
They do indeed, Tony....if there are six or more guests.....but fewer and I have been known to provide the ingredients and show the guests the kitchen.....there is always someone who loves to cook....☺
No prick and ding then, gness ?.
Question Author
Me, gness! It gets boring cooking for one. That's why I tried M&S. Supposed to be a treat for myself.
Ping, Tony...Prick and Ping....not for guests....but certainly for me when I am on my own. Cannot bear faffing with food...cooking it....eating it and then have to clean and tidy the kitchen.....
I did once upon a time...then one day thought...sod it, this is not enjoyable and when I am dead I don't want to be thinking of lost gardening or sewing time spent in a kitchen...so....Prick and Ping!!
It is the cooking for one, Daisy. I don't mind if I join the others in the kitchen and we have wine and a giggle while concocting something special. Alone it's a drag. Couldn't bear to do it each day.
I have a wonderful farm shop not far away. They do terrific ready meals with no junk...small portions which I like so I'm happy with that.
Question Author
Oooh gness, I am jealous!
Tend to cook and freeze portions and then remember that I wanted to defrost the freezer. To be able to buy small portions must be a boon.
Them whats impotent say dont waist stuff. Yeah, rite. Watt do thay doo to elp? Nuffink.
Why don't you have a "mega cook in" and then divide it up into smaller portions and freeze them? I have trouble preparing food for cooking as I have arthritis in my hands but my daughter does the prep and I "assemble" the meals, we do this is very large quantities though and fill the freezer for a few weeks though it does mean probably spending an whole day cooking.
Question Author
Think I answered that, nungate.
And there lies the problem for me, Nun.....the cooking bit. I no longer enjoy being in the kitchen and cooking...☺...even for a day.
I spent years doing things I would have preferred not to have to do. Now I spend as much time as I can doing things I love to do...cooking would get in the way of that.....x
It's late Daisy, had a bad night last night and I'm tired. Feel obliged to wait up for best beloved to get home from work.
I love having the cook in with Queenie though. We make soups, casseroles
and all sorts - the downside is having to pack it all away into the freezer (we leave that to best beloved)
