Can anyone recommend a pale foundation? I don't mean as in goth white... But just one that doesn't have that hint of orange.. I've tried about 7 different foundations this year, cream and powder and can't seem to find one I like. I'm using a Boots 17 powder at the minute that's 05 Neutral, which looks pale enough but when it goes on its still got that peachy/orangey hint in it.... I've tried a few Ivory ones as well but they never seem to come out the colour they are in the tube... Also using an Almay Pale no. 01 which you'd think would be pretty pale.. It's not really =/ Any recommendations appreciated! :)

Hi Sparks,

I have very pale skin and have recently found L'Oreal's True Match foundation in Rose Ivory (or Ivoire Rose) - it's the palest one in the range. Like you, I've found a lot of ivory ones that come out darker/orangey but this one works for me.

Hope this helps,

Hiya delilahcat, I'm gonna give that one a try thank you! Just read a few really good reviews about it too so gonna have a look for it tomorrow when out doing some retail therapy. Cheers again :)
I use Marks and Spencers foundation in porcelein, seems to suit me.
Being a poor penniless student (don't know if you are though) I use Collection 2000 sheer foundation in Porcelain 10 which is the palest foundation I've found around.  It's pretty good as long as you aren't looking for heavy coverage and it's dead cheap so you're not wasting too much money if it's not for you :)

I may just give them two a try aswell spudqueen and Morrisonker, I used to use a Collection 2000 foundation a few years ago and it was porcelain, though the chemist I got it from stopped doing it and I havent seen it since :( I'll have a look around online me thinks. Thanks!
i use Max Factor Colour Adapt in Creamy Ivory which strangely is paler than the shade they call Porcelain.  Maybe you should do the trick they recommend and put streaks of tester on your jawline and go out in natural light to see which one matches best - yes you'll look stupid out in the street but it may be worth it to stop wasting money on foundations that don't match.
hiya i use max factor's gay whisper, if you look about you won't have to pay a fourtune. i get mine from a shop called blushers.

Thanks for the advice all :) Been using the L'Oreal True Match foundation in Rose Ivory for a few days now and I really like it :D Might try that Max Factor Colour Adapt nicola_red... Afterall.. you can never have too many foundatiions eh :D And I've just looked on ebay for that gay whisper one and it's there for 3 quid so.. Might aswell give it a go too!
No7, new ivory, thick, if you want to cover blemishes etc... rather than having orangey undertones its more yellow, to stop you going orange. I find this works best for me.
Or 17's Light liquid foundation, it looks rather orange but when applied with translucent compact/loose powder it looks better.
