My OH decided before Xmas to buy me a brand new bike for my 60th birthday in Feb but when we enquired at our local shop, they said the bike I wanted (a Ghost costing over £1000) wouldnt be available until the new 2012 models came out from Germany about end of March. So we decided to wait until after my birthday. Ive just been into the shop to enquire how things were going and after looking into it on the comp and phoning the suppliers in Germany, they say they are sold out completely for THIS YEAR !!! What!! They wernt supposed to even be available until end of March. I really been looking forward to getting my bike and now Im totally disappointed.
How can they justify this ?

perhaps there is a waiting list, like you get with some desireable cars?
perhaps they don't have the capacity to make more than the orders they already have?

I think you could be right bednobs, thanks :>(
Perhaps your local dealer just couldn't get one, this shop seems to have quite a few.

Although, they don't have to justify it at all, they are not obliged to sell you anything.

But they are supposed to supply shops over here, so if I put an order in in Dec at my local shop, they should have been able to get at least 1, shouldnt they
I would have thought so.
