The Pock  et Watch Collection

aaaaah part collections - Great aren't they? Initially certainly. But the trouble with thses type of collections is that they survive on subscription. Example, company releases a make your own spaceship in 100 parts. They need as many to sign up with them. The number needed can then be produced more or less for each issue. Unlike newspapers and magazines they cannot be pulped. It also isn't cost effective destroying 15000 bits of a spaceship that havn't sold. This iwhy a lot of these collections are in the shops fo the first few issues then you never see them again. My mother inlaw collected a needlework one once. Got to part 88 of 100 then they stopped doing it. That's the other problem, after a while people grow bored or move on with other things in life which reduces subscriptions and eventuallty doesn't make the product worth making any more..
