My boyfriend of 4 years has been helping me out alot lately as I've had such a hard time (three deaths of people very close to me, got made redundant and couldn't find a new job for a month, my car being vandalised etc etc) and I would really like to do something for him to say a massive thank you. As I have just got a new job I don't have much money at the moment so can't splash out on him like I would love to. Can anyone think of an inexpensive gift/ way of saying a massive thank you? I have obviously told him I appreciate everything he does for me but I would like to give him something. Any ideas?

My neice did this.
Turn up at his home wearing a coat with nothing underneath.
You could always take him for a romantic picnic. Make the food yourself and it won't cost much.

an occasional bunch or vase of flowers together with a card with beautiful words.

ah yes maybe the second one, because I know when my ex helped me out moneywise, I then bought him a gift and he was quite annoyed I was spending more money

Maybe take him out for the day, as said before picnic, then maybe a film - his choice, do things he likes doing just sorta pamper him as much as you can pamper a man for the day. I am sure he doesnt expect anything for what he has done as he obviously cares about you a great deal and wants to help you out. But I am sure you know that. He sounds like a great guy. Or do the things above but stay in, rent a couple of dvds, cook him dinner, give him a massage etc... Its inexpensive and its good for the both of you.

Sorry forgot to say my other half once came into work and left a card for me, with literally 10 words in it but it just made me realise just how lucky I am and how much he meant to me. Its simple and cheap to do and it means alot.
