My nan's 60th birthday is next month and I want to get her something special and unique which she can keep, but I'm a little stuck for ideas.
Anyone got some suggestions??

Thanks xxx

Would a brooch be well received? She could keep it forever and wear any time, and it would always remind her of you......

I'm not sure if she's a brooch lady. I might try and work it into a conversation to see what she thinks. Not sure how i'll do that, but worth a try.
Thanks for the idea Misky xx

Have a look round the clothes shops - they don't have to be that awful brown cameo stuff these days. I got one for my auntie with plenty of bling! Good luck X

Why not buy her a lovely memory?, like a hot air baloon ride or a flying lesson, it doesn't have to be something material to keep ,memories are better sometimes, good luck, Ray

Thanks for the replies.

I did think about getting her a star, I might look into it.

A memory is a good idea Ray but she isn't very mobile so can't really do anything involving too much movement.

Again I did think about doing the photo idea but it's quite hard because we are never all together, one of her grandchildren live in New Zealand too so I cant even arrange for us all to meet and have a photo taken. My auntie is coming over for 5 weeks soon so I might try and get my nan and her 4 daughters together so they can have some nice photo's taken.

Thanks again for all the suggestions xxxx

For my Mum in Law's 70th Birthday I asked all the family to send two photographs, one current and one as a child . I then made a montage in a large glass frame of everyone plus a few of the family pets and put one of her as a young girl in the middle. She cried when she saw it and said it was the best present she had ever had.
