Clothing and shoe repairs - help!

Please can somebody help me with a couple of pretty silly questions.

Okay, first one: I bought a beautiful shirt from a central London store, it was the last one in the sale. Unfortunately it had several marks on it, looked like red pen. The assistant re-assured me that most likely they would come out if the shirt was dry cleaned, and deducted �10 from the cost, so I bought it. Have had it dry cleaned and they are still there. I am thinking to return it to the store for a refund but just wondered, does anyone know of any other means to remove these stains. They are quite small but as it's a blue shirt it does notice. I wondered if I should first try something like stain devils in the wash, but thought, if dry cleaning hasn't shifted it, perhaps there's no hope? The only issue is that perhaps, as it was sold as seen, they may not wish to return me the money. Any thoughts?

Okay, second: I have a really really nice pair of brown shoes, but cannot wear them because the heel literally makes such a racket when I walk in them, I feel like a giant with seven league boots on! I have looked online in my local area (SE13) but don't seem to be able to find a shoe repairer close. Can anyone recommend a shop where you can take your shoes and they can re-heel them? Is this even something people still do?

As they gave you a discount, they probably won't give you your money back (from my previous experience). Also dry-cleaning does not magically get stains out, you have to point out the stains that need attention so they get specifically treated (not sure if you did this). If you can't get a refund, you have nothing to lose and could try and get the stain out yourself..?? Stain devils definitely work, but not sure how delicate your shirt is.. Hope you can get it sorted!

biro type stain removal: spray with hair lacquer & rub off with dry clean cloth.

..be careful with rubbing though if it's a delicate or shiny fabric as you can alter the nap of it and make it obvious

if it didnt come out after dry cleaning it wont come out because the stain is already set second of all dont re-heel the shoes just stick duck tape or double stick tape to the bottom and you should be good also you wont fall :)
