Shedding sweater!

Hi there, does anyone know how to prevent some sweaters from shedding? Specifically anything with mohair or angora? Someone suggested freezing the item but not sure that's a longterm solution! Otherwise, I guess its sellotape to the rescue everytime?! Many thanks,
