Hubby wants beef, son wants lamb and I prefer turkey, have actually worked out how I can please everyone with few shortcuts but now getting stressed cos got mum in law coming at last minute and really worrying now whether I should be doing starters etc. She usually goes to my sister in laws and has a full on spread, we're a bit more chilled and homely.

The plan was to have a large turkey crown with all the usual bits, followed by Christmas pud and brandy cream, but....the turkey crown is sold out at Sains, so could be sausages or quiche with jacket pots!

We got one at Tesco's this evening Cetti's.

Funny story....as you may or may not know, I work at Coop, and today a customer asked me..."when are ya turkeys coming in?"....."tomorrow" I said....she replied....."are they happy turkeys?".......I looked at her in stunned silence for a full 10 seconds before replying...."not anymore, no"
