By my calculation for mother's day to be on April 1st ,Ash Wednesday has to be on 7th March. Mother's day is the fourth Sunday in Lent.
This happened in 1962, 1973 and 1984. It will happen again in 2057 and 2068.

I was going to say nonsense, but then I remembered that in England Mother'S day is on a different day to the rest of the world!
