Thanks wendilla, might actually see it tonight, sky is fairly clear here at the mo.

Yes same here and this is the direction that it comes right over my house.
One hour 36 mins for lap of the earth, impressive.
You should get a good view then, wendilla. Hope I do to.
Yes clear for the first time in 3 days.

Some interesting info for you.

17.000 mph. orbits earth approx every 90 mins. 180miles to 220 miles high
astronauts see a sunset and sunrise every 45mins. Solar wing span 240feet.
Thanks, should be OK tonight by the look of it!
That is a big WOW. I presume the orbit is static and as the earth rotates it appears to takes a different path.
Truly incredible images. Our planet and home looks so fragile , insignificant and small.
I'm assuming we're looking for a bright (but not too bright) object appearing to move slowly acorss the sky ?

might give the kids the binoculars and try to spot it
You will know when you see it, very bright and moving quite quickly.

Don't forget to wave.
Rev. - the spacestation is actually orbiting the Earth, not like the Astra satellites etc. which are in geostationary orbit which is why you can always get your tv signal.

The best thing to do is enter your latitude and longitude at Heavens Above and you will get accurate readings (at the time you checked) for your location. Allow some leeway before and after the published times, as the spacestation may have undergone course corrections.

Munchie you will not need binos to see it . Just look for the largest planet and is same as that but gliding across the sky and it DOES NOT BLINK and will come approx tme stated.
I think I need to read up on such matters. Amazing stuff.
To be fair the times given on the site wendilla uses are very accurate
Question Author
Track it from here nearer the time

Tomorrows sighting 7 56 pm but will post at 6 ish to remind you all
Spectacular, dragged neighbours out. One silly sod though it was a plane.
just wandered over the park with the kids. Cheers all, VERY easy to spot as it makes it's way through the night sky
