in 2007 my friend got conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs for shoplifting however 18 months on she is due in court for shoplifting again what sentence can she expected

How long was the 2007 conditional discharge for?

The maximum period which can be given is, I believe, for 3 years.

What an idiot your friend is! And you are guilty of association.

Shoplifting is a serious crime. Your friend gets caught - but then does it a second time!!!!

The sentence should be to get a shop of their own & cope with the shoplifting from it.
