What a beautiful thread ,Vinny and this place is gorgeous ,you've worked really hard .Are you all being to settle down now the shopping is finished and the tree and the decorations are up ? A nice warm,hot Toddy in one hand and a lovely mince-pie in the other and the snow gently drifting down to make a White Christmas for you .
I'll just turn the air-conditioning to colder and imagine it all ! Merry Christmas to you all . Dolly xx

I say, that's a grand place you've got there, I'm packing right now to come & stay with you....hang on, I'd need to see the 'facilities' first, I know what some of these old places are like...
all fur coat & no dixel...
speaking of which, I haven't found them in here yet, I have to keep going down the shopping centre & in this cold weather , with all these clothes on ...ooohh, it's like peeling a bloomin onion..

blimey it was cold in Exeter yesterday,but popped in Wagamamma's and had some lovely warm soup and spicy salad.Thats brill Pickle hehe..!

Morning all- quite nice day here. Mr N has bought me a Recordable dvd with hard disc, and has ordered a whole new tv system for January. As we live at the foot of a mountain have never been able to get Spanish tv but now there is a new aerial , so we can receive 40 channels, so all that's being sorted in January - so happy!
Have had 3 xmas shandies and am slightly tipsy - doesn't take much I know!!

Can I come and stay with you then Neti or perhaps I could come and live with you ...we can't even get Channel 5 here and 4 is hit and miss ! It depends which way the wind is blowing .
On second thoughts .... I have just just seen Picklestowers ....that looks rather naice .
I have been out and back and out again and did a supermarket run last night ..I refuse to go out anymore.What we ain't got we can go without !

Afternoon Biddyfriends Hope you are all well. Had a great night with my sons last night. When my eldest arrived I openind a bottle of Chateau Neuf du Pape for him and he said loverly and had a couple of glasses (I was on the Baileys) then we went to youngest son's for dinner and we quaffed copious amounts of red and when that ran out we went on the white. We staggered home about 12.30 a.m. tired, under the 'affluenence of incahol' and happy. This morning he proceeded to eat a full English breakfast ,which I had to cook, feeling slightly queezy. He was fine. He even took the rest of the bottle of C.N. du P. with him. Anyway it was a great start to my Christmas.

bonsoir...the good news is it warmed up a degree or 2...the bad news is it persisted down....'tis the season for a brolly..
how many channels? bloomin tv's I think I'll come & live with you too neti..or give it up altogether when we go digital....I've got 3 (2 were inherited & one a bargain) & none of them are new so it'll be boxes all over the shop & a new aerial...what a con.
can we have a pressie from the bran tub yet?
