Help - plugged in the Christmas tree lights tonight and got an electrical shock. Mr Spudqueen has (understandably) now thrown those lights away but kids want lights on the tree, preferably coloured. Can go into town tomorrow to buy some, but where would I get some good ones at this late stage - good ones rather than cheap ones.

Wilkinsons, Argos and Wollies are your best bet, wilkinsons are cheap but very good, not sure if they will have them, when i worked at Argos the coloured lights didnt sell as well as clear so we had lots on stock.
Went into B&Q's yesterday (Sunday) and they were busy reducing price tags by up to 50% on Christmas goods. Well worth a visit if you have a store near you.

Thanks for your replies - B&Q had a very poor selection and didn't like what was on offer at Argos so ended up at my local garden centre which had loads of lights to choose from - the best selection I've seen for ages. Have now got coloured twinkling lights - kids really pleased.
