Hi all

Does anyone here remember 'Radius' monitors?
They were the ones that you could physically rotate 90 deg from landscape to portrait and the display changed automatically. I think they were usually supplied with early 'Mac' computers. Is there anything like them still available?

Well this monitor (iiyama) rotates to do portrait work .. but on most graphics GUI's/interfaces you can switch the display around anyway, if it suits.

Hi AlB

Is yours a modern IIyama? Does the image rotate automatically? I have a 17" Visionmaster is a cupboard still. The best CRT monitor I ever saw.
A lot of wide screen monitors do, I have loads where I work, mainly HP, but also iiyame, Benq and possibly a few acers if I recall correctly.

The display doesn't change automatically, but most display drivers will let you rotate the display to suit the monitor orientation, try holding down CTRL and ALT and pressing your cursor keys :)

Thanks Chuck

Actually I don't have any pressing need for this. Something just reminded of them. The image rotation switch thing has never worked on my system. XP Home + SP3
This iiyama is a few years old but not widescreen. No .. you rotate display manually .. well ... manually electronically!
