The jet stream positions.

This is the 3rd year on the trot that our weather has been crap, the reason is the jet stream position which has dropped down over Britain causing the never ending stream of low pressures battering us.
Does this mean that the low jet stream position is here to stay or does it frequently move up and down?
Has there been any records kept of it`s positions since it was discovered?

the jet stream moves, there are the northen and southern ones. and yes it will move away in time.
