I know this is the wrong category, but wondered if one of you boffins can help me here.
They have these converters for sale in Aldi at the moment. You plug them into the cigarette lighter in the car and there is a plug on the other end, What I want to know is, does it give enough power to boil a kettle?

Thanks to stompe.

The one is Aldi does 300 watts, this is why I wondered if it was enough. You can run a laptop from it, wasn't sure about the kettle though.

Thanks guys.

And a voltage inverter with enough power to run a kettle would be trying to draw about 200 amps from your car battery... not good!

I'd recommend a camping gas stove!
Susan, kettles tend to be upwards of 2000watts
