Is it imperial?
It certainly was Imperial, but using that term nowadays implies that such measures are out of date.

I prefer 'British'. The organisation that supports their continued use is the British Weights and Measures Association.
They may well be British Chakka, but the correct term is Imperial. What you prefer has nothing to do with it.
