Is their a technical term for the common phenomenon of a body part falling asleep? I've seen answers for why it happens (the nerves are squeezed enough to cut off signals to the brain), but no terms for it.

Narcolepsy is a condition where a person falls asleep involuntarily, which is not the same thing as part of the body loosing sensation.
