I've just recently returned back from holiday and i took a sony handycam,to do some filming. I used three discs and filming using all three there was no problem. however when i got back, one of the discs, wouldn't finalise, and hence it can't be played on my dvd. I took it to the camera shop, but they said nothing can be done. Is it really beyond hope or, could something be done, is there anywhere i could send it, to hopefully access my holiday filming?

Hi,
Will the faulty dvd play back in the camera? If so then do this whilst recording the output from the camera on another machine (either dvd recorder or your pc via firewire ). If the camera won't playback its own recording then I'm afraid it doesn't look too good. BTW you aren't the only one who has problems like this.
