how do you measure wavelength with a spectrometer?

I know that you can measure wavelength with a spectrometer, but havnt been able to find out how..

You need to measure the diffraction angle in degrees (theta) and have the line spacing for the diffraction grating (d) The wavelength of the light will be d multiplied by the sine of angle theta. This is for first order only.
