Went for a walk with daughter & grandson.
Went to Sainsbury's, while waiting by car for husband, a young man shouts from a few yards away, "Have you been waiting for me love?" ( I nearly said, "Yes"..Lol...
He was the click and collect man...
Don't know about exciting but I got a bit of a shock this morning when I called at the garage to have screen wipers replaced and was presented with a bill for nearly £40
Wouldn't mind but it's only a lowly Panda
Tried to sort out a change to car insurance. Rang recommended number, spoke to helpful young man (who turned out to be no help at all: he kept asking me for reference number that I didn't have). After much going round in circles, he advised me ring another number. Woman's voice said: "All our lines are busy. Goodbye." Decided to put it all down on paper. Printer turned moody, but (condescendingly) did what I wanted. Will post that on the morrow.
I can't take much more of this!

I shopped around online and reduced my contents insurance by 50%! What exciting times we lead!! Lol
My sister and I didn't realise our car lease ran out this year, so we have been chosing replacements:-).
Also, had covid jab this afternoon. So speedy, I got home 10 mins before my appointment actually was :-)
@17.28..Have you never replaced wiper blades yourself? A five minute job, having bought them online at a quarter/third of garage prices.

£40, that's hellishly expensive, did you have the wiper arms replaced as well?
I've been to the burger van up the road! Wow! Such excitement!

It's 6 weeks since I've been there and, during that period, the only other times I've left my house have been for 6 trips to Morrison's (all late on Saturday evenings, when there are only ever one or two other customers in the store), for a handful of trips to the local pharmacy and for getting my Covid jab on Sunday. So I was really looking forward to my chicken burger (with lettuce, and cheese slices 'top and bottom') today.

Alas! No chicken burgers! (The burger lady says she just can't get them anywhere at the moment). So I had to make do with a flat sausage instead :(

It was good to have a quite a long chat with the burger lady, Bianca, anyway, so the trip wasn't really such a disaster ;)
got vaccinated!!!!!Astra Zeneca
I doubt that the guy at my local garage would charge much more than a tenner for wiper blades. He only charges a fiver to supply and fit any bulb, even if it's one of the more expensive types and it takes him several minutes struggling and cursing to fit it.
All the best people have AZ, Woofgang ;-)

Don’t know why it’s amusing me that we are getting so excited about the teeniest things - must be lockdownitis!! Lol
Me too, woof... we'll commiserate later lol. I was a little shocked tbh, that not one single person or company- the GP, NHS, Covid Vaccination Team, the Healthcare Scheme (which we had to go through), or the two separate locations we went to.... nobody asked for or required any proof about where we worked. We just had to tick a box online. Made it quick and easy though.
windscreen wiper blades
Yes you're all right
Trouble is I wasn't expecting it to be more than a tenner so I didn't ask how much beforehand
Live and learn!
so true, Smow. A couple of years ago I'd have been telling you about trekking through the Amazon jungle, swinging among the treetops on vines, shooting and barbecuing other explorers for dinner. Now it's just waiting for Waitrose deliveries :-(

God you’ve got to laugh havent you lol xx
Gosh,I feel positively lazy now - the only exciting thing I've done today is rip some cardboard up.
Mamya, in my house, the dogs find that hugely exciting.
So did the Grandchildren, now I'm stuck with the job and I swear the stuff grows somewhere in here.
Managed to persuade the Hubster to sort through a huge pile of wires and cables that had taken over the bottom of his wardrobe. Between us we reduced them down by just over 50%. The can now join the other boxes of “stuff” to go to the tip when it’s allowed.
